Wake Up to Manatees! Waterfront 3BR Home w/ Pool

It was extremely dirty! We even found a used sock in one of the rooms, and there was hair and dirt in the corners. We had to wash all the dishes before using them; the plates were greasy. The pool was the worst part—there was hair in the water and slime on the bottom. The day after we checked in, they sent someone to mow the lawn (which was overgrown) and clean the pool. The cleaning staff also came, but we had already cleaned most of it the night before because it was disgusting. I’m going to attach the photos.

Home was clean and spacious.

I will start by saying this house is wonderful, the location is perfect and the host was responsive. It's spacious, peaceful and convenient. The stove was updated to a new electric top and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking necessities. There's plenty of space to lounge and work if you need to. Every room has a TV and fan. We appreciated the dishwasher, laundry, grill and of course the pool. There's a little dock out back which is a great place to start your mornings, no manatees but we did see a wonderful variety of birds and lots of flying fish!I'd be remiss if I didn't include the issues though - first, it was obvious that a family with children stayed before us. Surfaces were clean but there were bits of food in the couch, on the floor under the cabinets and bench, etc. It was frustrating with our pup, having to make sure he didn't eat whatever mystery debris was left behind. The A/C broke during our stay but it did get resolved within a few days.The major issue we had is that in the middle of our stay, while my husband was home alone, a family showed up with a working door code and entered the house. I can't begin to express how stressful this was for us, or imagine how the situation would have gone if it were me alone. He was able to get in touch with the host, who told us the booking system made a mistake. The host reset the house codes, but there can't be a guarantee it wouldn't happen again.

Pool was clean, relaxing, and fun. The house was near by grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations all within 5-10 mins away. Clear water beach was only 15 mins or so and was also fun to visit. House could use some updating, but was still well taken care of.Also it could of been better stocked with misc items (more TP, paper towels, garbage bags.)I would not hesitate to stay here again and communication was great from the host. Heated pool is nice, but should be considered to be part of the price and not additional.

This was a beautiful home and pool area was very enjoyable. Communication with the owner was the best I have ever experienced. Highly recommend staying here.
